ISOTX – Web Programmer

-       Full time (40+ hours)

-       Web team 5 p

-       Utrecht

ISOTX is a Utrecht based international game company that produces games set in a unique diesel punk environment called the Iron Grip Universe.

Beginning in 2011 we released our first online Free-to-Play game, Iron Grip: Marauders. One of the first F2P games to be released on the Steam distribution platform, Marauders is now a popular game with a worldwide appeal.

ISOTX is growing rapidly and needs experienced, ambitious and driven talent to propel us to the next level. If you have the skills, are not afraid of hard work, and have an organized mind – we need to hear from you.

Job description:

• Implementing new or improved features in our constantly evolving game: Iron Grip: Marauders
• Fixing in-game bugs
• Designing test environments for game developers

Required skills:

·         Good at programming in PHP and JavaScript

·         Good at communicating in English

·         No excuses, no blaming others & you must be able to handle criticism of your work

·         Creative, independent and flexible

·         An affinity with (strategy) MMO’s

·         Bachelor degree in programming

·         Good knowledge of HTML and CSS

·         Experience with jQuery, Smarty templates

·         Experience with IIS

·         Experience with designing and implementing large scale web applications

·         Experience with database (MySQL/MSSQL) driven web applications

·         Experience with UML and ERD design techniques

·         Experience in Web 2.0 technology and API’s (Facebook, OpenSocial)

·         Preferred: experience with multiplayer game services, Scalable Architecture and high traffic/real time applications
