Job description

Vanguard Games is currently looking for Game Programmers to work on the foundation of one of our games. As a Game Programmer you should have a good and thorough understanding of the C++ programming language. He/she should have experience with the design, implementation and continuing support of software sub systems. Experience within the actual games industry and / or 1 or more released game titles is a bonus. Key Responsibilities:·                     Develop and improve game sub systems for one of our games·                     Work collaboratively with the rest of our team to bring our games to life·                     Design, develop, write, test and implement quality code and/or tools·                     Share knowledge with our team·                     Produce and maintain technical designs of the sub systems you create/improve. Required Technical Skills and Experience:·                     Strong C++ experience·                     Strong fundamentals in object oriented programming, design patterns, algorithms and data structures·                     Experience working with larger code bases·                     Computer Science Degree·                     Focus on quality at all stages of development and operation·                     Commitment to writing clear, well-tested, maintainable and extendable code·                     Experience with optimizing performance and code·                     Ability and passion for working in an agile multi-disciplinary team environment, a team player·                     Excellent analytical skills·                     Comfortably working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Bonus Skills and Experience:·                     Experience with complex game system development·                     A passion for video games We offer:·         Working in a creative and quality driven environment with enthusiastic colleagues·         Benefits according to experience and job·         Working spot in the heart of Amsterdam  Contact Guy@vanguardgames.net or call +31 (0)20 707 68 42
