After the successful release of Killzone for PlayStation 2, Guerrilla was acquired by Sony Computer Entertainment in 2005. It went on to create the award-winning Killzone: Liberation for PlayStation Portable in 2006, and has released Killzone 2 for PlayStation 3 in February 2009 to worldwide popular and critical acclaim.
Job description
Our games relies heavily on truly excellent, movie quality special effects and particle effects. The effects are the primary means of communicating interaction and dynamics to the player. Examples of effects are particle effects, shader effects, lighting effects such as godrays, water, dynamic cloth animation and much more. The FX department gives life to the environments of the game. We need top quality Special FX/Particle Artists to work towards our vision. Cinematic, Movie or game experience is required, Architectural and Game Level building experiences are a plus.
Requirements
You're adept at modeling, shading and texturing in Maya
You have experience with the Havok physics system
You're articulate, have strong written and verbal communication skills and a good command of the English language
Plusses
You have experience with rigging and scripting in Maya
You have a shipped FPS/action game under your belt
